In Algebra I part 2, we’re continuing to study transformations of exponential functions and starting to write exponential functions.

In music this week we had a theory day and learned about time signatures then tried to guess the time signatures in famous songs!

This week, students began learning about new communities that started to form in the diaspora in a post Second Temple world and how they were challenged and influenced by the rise of Islam and Christianity. Next week, we will work on crafting our own maps to show these changes.

Happy Thanksgiving from 7 and 8!

Our 5th-8th grade classes had a guest speaker this week, alum Ari Kaufman-Franfel. Ari works as a staff member for Senator Whitehouse in Rhode Island and he spoke to the students about his duties as a member of the senator's staff and the different projects that his team is working on.
