In Algebra I part 2, students are learning to solve exponential equations and starting MathCounts practice.

In geometry students started to work on different ways of writing proofs. They also have been working on MathCounts problems, and will continue throughout the semester.

This Week in 7 and 8, Sept. 30

Our 7th and 8th grade class created Tashlich ceremonies for each of the younger classes in school. Students were paired up and led their designated class through the ceremony. It was fabulous to see how our students created specific ceremony plans based on the ages of the younger students!

This Week in 7 and 8, Sept. 23

In Algebra I part 2 this week, students are learning the rules for negative, zero, and rational exponents.

In Art, the students continued to work on their graffiti art, choosing between using markers or colored pencils to color theirs. Some added shading to create a 3-D look.

Students were introduced to six different lenses for studying history and worked in small groups to teach their classmates about the lenses and their functions in creative ways. We had a chance to view skits, posters, songs and more!
