During Reading and Social Studies the students have been reading about and taking notes about famous African Americans for Black History month. Students are using the notes they took on the person they read about and are making a banner about that person.

We have talked about setting new goals for ourselves and the students have each written their goals for academics, behavior, and friendship.

The students have been learning about the 10 commandments in Judaics class. After talking about the commandments and understanding what they mean, the students worked together to write 10 commandments for our classroom.

In Art, in honor of Black History Month the students learned about the artist Jean-Michael Basquiat. They then started a self portrait in his style. 

This week the students learned about Orchestral instruments! We had a performance from Noa and Gershom. Our Mimi Award Winners were Teo and Emanuelle.
