This week was all about pumpkins! The students estimated the height, circumference, and weight of their pumpkins. They then measured the height, circumference, and weighed their pumpkins. The students also read books about measurement, pumpkins, and fall. For writing, they are describing their pumpkin with as much detail as possible using adjectives. They are also learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin. On Friday, the students will be measuring ingredients to make pumpkin spice muffins. Ask your child what the word circumference means.
