Grades 7-8: Week of 11/27/23

In Language Arts, we began a conversation about perspective. We watched a video of the wolf’s perspective of the Three Little Pigs! Fascinating discussion. What was “true?” We began reading a documentary novel called Nothing but the Truth. Please ask your student to tell you who the two protagonists are.

In Judaics, we learned about kaf tet b’November, a Jewish holiday celebrating the November 29th, 1947 United Nations vote on the Partition Plan. Without it, Israel might not have existed. We also celebrated remembering the history of Jews from Arab Lands, a new holiday in Israel so that Jews everywhere will honor those Jews who came from the Middle East. More to follow…

For the last two weeks in Art, the students have been working on portraits of their classmates. Those who finished did drawings of their shoes.

In Music, we worked on singing skills and the Chanukah Production music. Our performer was Miriam, and our Mimi Award Winners were Toyba and Miriam!
