This Week in 5 and 6, Oct. 21

In Ancient History, students learned about hunter-gatherers and watched a video about an Iron Age archaeological site.  In Current Events, they learned about the statewide offices and the question on CT ballots.  Question for Shabbat dinner: What did archaeologists find at Althorp?

We finished our character sketches in language arts and each student shared theirs with the class. The finished pictures were hilarious. These sketches will be the beginnings of the short stories they will be writing.

Now that the holidays are behind us, we are beginning the study of the Book of Judges in Judaics.

This week was theory week and we learned about Treble Clef Notes and made “secret codes” using music notes arranged in specific orders to spell words. As a class, they are also working on a song together, which is fun to oversee, and the Mimi Award winner was Gabby!
