In Science, students were different species of finch on 4 different Galapagos islands this week. Which finch beak is the fittest for the food source of each island was the question explored.

This week in Language Arts, we spent the week on the concept of theme. This led to expository writing on the themes in The Giver.

In Judaics, we caught up with last week’s parashah, Tzetzaveh, and this week’s Ki Tisa. Students were very creative, making all sorts of the accouterment of the Mishkah.

Students in Geo-History continued the journey through European history using their own research and presentations. Notes are being memorialized on a study guide, which will eventually lead to the next phase of the project. This week we learned about the Russian Revolution and The Great War!

This week in Art, the students learned about Pablo Picasso and started to create their own Cubist inspired portrait.

This week in Music, we started presentations on famous Jewish musicians! Our first presentation was given by Cora and Leah on PINK, our second presentation was given by Ayelet and Anna on Debbie Friedman. We also had Cora and Anna perform the song “Cups” together, and our Mimi Award Winners were Ofek and Yahav.
