During reading this week the children in grade 2 have been reading different chapter books and answering comprehension questions about the story they are reading.  Grade 1 read the story The Dot and is learning about identifying the big idea/ theme of a story.

The class also created beautiful Sfirat HaOmer charts.

In music this week we had a performance from Sasha on piano and Tamar on electric guitar. We also are in the process of writing a song together - we had one group working on rhythms, one on melody lines, and one on lyrics! Our Mimi Award Winner was Sasha for some very impressive piano melody ideas.
