The children listened to the story Happy Birthday, Tree S Tu B'Shvat story and then wrote a summary about the story. During writing the children were given 2 paper leaves. On one of the leaves they wrote about what trees give us. On the other tree the children wrote their promise to trees.  They made Happy Birthday hats like in the story to celebrate. They also made pipe cleaner trees using pipe cleaners and beads.

 

The children placed pine cones in our classroom aquarium that is filled with dirt. They sprayed the dirt and pine cones. They will be observing the pine cones to see if trees sprout from them.
