This week in art we talked about cool colors and blending oil pastels. The students created abstract art by tracing overlapping circles or lines. In the areas they created they blended two cool colors using a Q-tip.

Our 4th grade science class used Play-Doh to construct a dam that would protect "troll city". The goal in doing so is to learn how engineers decide how large or strong to build a dam, and how the weight of water pushing against the saide of the dam plays a factor. So far, only two arch dams have held back the water. Next up, buttress dams!
