In Reading, students have been practicing identifying the author’s purpose of a passage. The acronym PIE (Persuade - Inform - Entertain) helped them remember the different reasons an author would write a story or text. I encourage you to practice this skill at home with your child.
This week in Art, the students continued to work on their bean mosaics. I think they now have a true appreciation for those who made real mosaics!
This week in Music, we learned about the history of Italian music! We also got a piano performance from Zippy, and our Mimi Award winners were Yair, Sasha, and Riley!
