Grades 3-4: Week of 3/11/24

In Social Studies, third grade has been learning about the geography of the United States and how it affects where people settle. The fourth graders have been focusing on New York.

3rd Grade explored forms of matter – solid, liquid, and gas, and then created a mixture that was neither solid nor liquid, but both. 4th grade created “animals” with imaginary protective structures and learned about biomimicry.

This week in Art, the students continued to work on their bean mosaics.

In Hebrew, the 3rd grade continued to learn about Tamar’s family (from “Chaverim B’Ivrit) and her birthday preparations. The 4th grade is preparing to learn about the class trip to “Neot Kedumim” in Israel, following the unit’s textbook.

In Judaics, we practiced the Purim play and learned about Parshat Pekudai. We also worked on our Passover group projects.
