Grades 3-4: Week of 12/18/23

Students from both grades enjoyed presenting by making a skit about what they learned from different world holidays, as discussed in class.

In Science, 4th grade students completed their unit on the structure and function of plants with consideration of the sensitivity (and response) of plants to changes in light, temperature, and to touch. In 2024, the class will move onto studying how structure and function are related in animals.

This week in Art, the students created 3D hands using a special technique - ask them to show you how they did it!

This week in Music, we learned about different genres of music and how to identify them through different musical characteristics in songs! Our Mimi Award winners were Zippy and Daniella!

This week in Hebrew/Judaics, we practiced creating sentences with infinitives of common verbs, did some fun warm-up Hebrew speaking exercises, and learned the story of Parashat “Vayigash”.
