In Math, both grades practiced solving one-step and two-step word problems using part-whole and bar models. They also refined their mental math skills through additions and subtractions using various strategies.

Last week in Art, the students finished their colonial quilt project. This week they started working on a “stained glass” Hanukkah project.

In Music we worked on singing skills and the Chanukah Production music. Our Mimi Award Winner was Zippy and our performer was Sasha on the piano!

This week in Hebrew, we worked on conversation warm-up, practicing the words and creating sentences from the second group of verbs. It was a preparation for our upcoming quiz (on Tuesday). In Judaics, we learned the stories and meaning of Parshat vaYishlach and saw videos on its topics – now we just have to try and act it out!
