During Math class this week, grade 1 learned about fact families and how to write fact family equations on their own. Ask your child to tell you what a fact family is. Grade 2 reviewed place value and are adding and subtracting double and triple digit numbers.

 

In Parashat Hashavua, we told the story of Noah and the Arc. We spoke about the big rain and how the Dove symbolizes peace on earth. We created our own Dove, hoping for world peace.

 

This week in Art, we talked about acorns and how they all look different –  size, shape, color, texture. Then we made our own acorns out of clay.

 

This week in Music, we had game day with Time Signatures! They worked together to add rhythms and determine which Time Signature was being used. We got a performance from Elizabeth Rose on the piano and Emanuelle on the guitar. Our Mimi Award Winner was Gershom!
