We are now coming to the end of our study of the Constitution and its amendments, many of which brought great change to the United States, ending slavery, for example, and granting women the right to vote. The 7th graders are finishing up a unit on solving multi-step linear equations, and beginning to learn to solve inequality equations. The 8th graders have finished simplifying exponent expressions using the properties of exponents, and have begun learning the various methods for solving quadratic equations.
