This week we continued our study of Africa, focusing on the eastern countries that border the Indian Ocean and the western nations that border the South Atlantic.  We talked about the slave trade and how it finally came to an end.  We also watched a video on the wonderful wildlife in countries like Kenya and Tanzania.

We continued working on Holocaust literature and our poetry unit.

Students presented their ghetto research projects.

In music we got a performance from Tom on the drum kit that we had in the classroom for a day! The students also started working in their groups to write a song. They used pianos to start coming up with melody lines and metronomes to decide on the tempos in their song too! Our Mimi Award Winners were Toyba and Hadas for being so prepared and creative!
