Ezra Academy News

Dear Ezra Families,

This week we celebrated our 8th grade at our last whole school tefillah on Thursday. It is a tradition at Ezra that the 8th grade symbolically passes the leadership on to the 7th grade at this tefillah and we did just that. In addition, we gave out our annual Torah reading award which went to 8th grader, Miranda Hurwitz.

Earlier in the week we held our annual sports banquet, virtually of course. Our coaches were all in attendance as were our student athletes. It was truly a pleasure to commend our students on hard work on the field and on the court. It was also wonderful to honor them for their sportsmanship, heart and commitment to their teams and the game. Thank you to our coaches, Meredith Abel-Berei, Rachel Light and Morah Amalia, and to Coach Oren for organizing the event.

We look forward to graduation on Tuesday night. Despite restricted attendance and social distancing requirements, we are sure it will be a wonderful, inspiring evening. It will be broadcast live on Zoom so look for coming details if you would like to join us.

Wishing you all a Shabbat Shalom,

Melanie Waynik
